The Marvelous Misadventures of Menopause.

ME

THE BIRTH OF MODANI NATURALS

Once upon a not-so-hot-flashy time, there was a woman who embarked on a journey so wild, it could rival the hormonal rollercoaster known as menopause. This wasn't just any journey; it was one that would lead to the creation of a skincare sanctuary for women riding the same tempestuous waves of change.

Our heroine's tale (me) begins in the thick of menopause, a time when my body decided to throw a surprise party and forgot to invite stability. With emotions swinging like a pendulum on a caffeine rush, and outbursts that could give reality TV stars a run for their money, life was anything but dull. Everyone suffered!!

My poor husband! We met years ago, pre menopause and he still wanted to marry me whilst menopausal! Let’s just say that our relationship was put to the test as mood swings danced the tango with anxiety, stepping on the toes of harmony with every beat and the libido plummeted to rock bottom level. Oh, and the terrible outbursts of acting like a 2-year-old are so not cool. One minute you're absolutely fine, and then bam! You can't find the lid for that damn Tupperware container and things go flying!! And let's not forget the physical metamorphosis – my skin and normally lush locks entered a rebellious phase, as if they were teenagers all over again, but without the promise of youthful recovery.

Yes, I thought about Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). It waved from the sidelines, but I waved back with a 'no thank you, not an option.' So, armed with a background in skincare formulation and a Sherlock Holmes level of research dedication, I concocted my own elixir of relief: the Modani Naturals Wild Yam Cream.

This wasn't just any cream; it was a beacon of hope, my saviour, a jar of 'take that, menopause!' that resonated with women across the land. Modani Naturals blossomed into a range of skincare products and makeup, each one a love letter to women seeking solace from their symptomatic sorrows.

Fast forward one year, and Modani Naturals is not just surviving; it's thriving. Like a fine wine, it gets better with time, and this fearless founder is still learning, still growing, and still innovating.

So, here's to the wild ride of menopause, to the woman who turned challenges into triumphs, and to Modani Naturals, the skincare range that's making waves without the hot flashes. May this journey continue to be as fabulous as the women it serves. And I thank you all for sharing the journey with me.

Conclusion: I’m now 55 and feeling sooo much better and more confident than I used to. Sure, I still throw my tools occasionally, but my moods have improved greatly, and I’m still married! My skin is loving my new range, and the Wild Yam Cream helps manage the rest. I still get the occasional hot flush and night sweats, but 1 a day is way better than 12+. My hair has improved since switching to gentle shampoo bars, I'm sleeping better and my anxiety levels have lessened.

All in all, it comes down to accepting the transition, surrounding yourself with positive people, accepting help, and doing what you can to support and manage menopause. Look after yourself!

Don’t fight it because you’ll lose. Oh, and talk to your partner and family about it, share with them what’s happening to you! Also, tell them it’s not you, but your evil twin. Bad twin!! 😉

Much love,

Nancy x
